'Pain is candy for the focused mind.' -Bobby Hobbes in 'Flash to Bang

Once he fled the Agency after capture, Arnaud stayed in the US, but in a place no one seemed to go... Cleveland Ohio. He'd found a nice estate in Lakewood and life was going well for him, or as well as could be, for a Red-List interpol criminal wanted by both sides of the law.

He woke one morning ready to go out and find a nice breakfast, when a shooting pain gripped his lower right back. He became dizzy, and unable to keep anything in his stomach, so he had a fair idea what was wrong.

The pain gripped him SO intensely that he took a cab to Metro hospital. It seemed to take forever to even have his vitals taken, before they registered him, and FINALLY brought him back.

By then he was barely able to give the required sample, but the got enough urine to find a good deal of blood.

"Well, Mr.Fawkes," you seem to have a kidney stone.

"I bloody well, figured that out, you daft man. Could I please have something for these horrid stomach pains, and the screeching pain in my back," he snarled.

"Of course sir. I'll have the nurse come in and set you up," he rushed out leaving Arnaud alone to count the dots in the ceiling.

"Merde..." he almost sobbed. He figured assuming Kevin's name would be best for now, At least he was safe from arrest.

After half and hour he rang the nurse call button, with a warbled voice telling him, she'd be in soon. Apparantly SOON meant another hour, at which point he'd curled into a protective ball, ready to scream if no one saw him soon.

Finally the nurse came in, and luckily Arnaud's veins were esy to strike. "Now Mr. Fawkes, the phenegran will burn as bit, but I'll be following it with a nice shot of demerol," she explained letting the first med run into the cool IV fluid.

Arnaud winced as the med made it's way into his body. Burn? Hell, and damnation, it scorched.

Soon the pain med followed and his entired body relaxed. In fact the walls began to swirl and melt. "Bless you chere," he smiled pleasantly before falling asleep.
