English
isn't my mother tongue, so sorry if there are any faults in my
grammar.
I don't own any stuff that you recognize from Save The Last
Dance.
Hope you like this... and please review! Thank you.

Sara
stared at the grey sea and remembered her mother's words: "When I'm
gonna die, I wanna be spread. Over the sea.
No graveyard, just the sea
and me." Her mother had always liked the blue waves, but the waves
Sara saw, weren't blue at all.
She looked around; the beach was
almost deserted."Mum," she whispered softly. "Can you hear
me?"
She waited, like she expected an answer. She didn't got
one, she only heard the raving waves.
"Juillard has accepted
me. They liked my dance."
When she looked at the horizon, she
saw a small ship.
"Derek really helped me. He's my boyfriend. He's great. If
you wouldn't have died... I would have never met him."
The wind
blowed.
"I'm not saying that I'm glad you're dead. I miss you,
mum."
She heard a dog barking.
"I'm just finally happy with
this new life."
The dog jumped in front of her and she stepped
back.
"Sorry miss, normally he listens when I say 'sit!'..."
said a polite voice behind her. She turned around and looked in the
eyes
of a little boy.
"Sorry, miss," said the boy again, and
he fiddled with his frizzy, brown hear.
"O, it doesn't matter,"
smiled Sara. "What's you dog's name?"
"Pepsi, miss," he
answered.
"Pepsi?" Sara looked at the dog that played with the
sand. She had to admit the coulour of his fur looked really Pepsi
Cola-ish.
"That's a nice name."
"Yeah, they say so," said
the boy. "I mean: they say so, miss."
"It's
alright," she said again, this time silently laughing, "you
don't have to say 'miss'."
"O... my mother learned me to do
that. But, uh, I have to go," he said. "Excuse me."
"Okay,
have a nice day!" she said.
"You too, miss!" the boy
answered, and he walked to his dog. Sara stared at the sea
again.
"That was a cute boy," she said softly, and then, a bit
louder: "Right, mum?"
Still no answer.
"Don't worry,
mum," Sara spoke, after a few minutes. "I love you and I still
mis you – but I'm fine. Really."
She looked at the sea one last time, and then turned around.
