Trees
A.n/ This one-shot smacked me upside the head while I was attempting to right a sufficient chapter 6 for 'Demon Child' Enjoy the silly, OOC nonsense and be glad I picked this idea instead of the one about the hot tub…O.o

Trees.
InuYasha liked trees.
He had no clue why, or even how he had developed such a fascination for the majesty of an oak, the splendor of a poplar, or the way that a weeping willow made him feel so, so, sad.
He did know that he liked to sit in them. But he didn't know why he did.
At first he thought it was the height he liked.
"But I'm not a cat" he told himself…out loud.
"InuYasha, what's the matter?" Kagome called from her place below.
"Feh. Nothing" he scoffed, trying to sound as normal as possible…
But inside, he was deeply confused.
Would he ever find the answer to the mystery?
These thoughts still running threw his head, InuYasha leaned back and got comfortable…
'Perhaps a nap will make things clearer'
As the hanyou slumbered, his companion glanced up into the branches spread out above her. The girl had to smile, he was so cute when he was watching over her like that. Even if he was asleep, Kagome knew he would be at her side in an instant if even the slightest hint of danger, may it be demon, Miroku or a mere bunny…
InuYasha may never know why he likes trees.
But I guarantee you,
Kagome knows what she likes about them.
