"Mo...Momiji-kun?"

Momiji turned around. "Hello, Momo."

"Papa told me about you." The cute little girl looked at her feet. "I'm your sister. I'm sorry that mama didn't know."

"Look, it's okay, Momo-chan. I survived." He smiled, and she looked up. "It'll be fun to be your brother."

"Is it true there was a curse? That there is one?"

Momiji grinned even harder, if that was possible. "There was one. But it doesn't matter anymore." Reaching in for a hug, he laughed. "Don't worry. It doesn't matter anymore!"

As the sun turned to dark, they held hands and walked, together, out of school.

Nothing was perfect, Momiji was sure, but who cared?

Tonight was great. And that was all that mattered.
