Shadow thought his quest was over, but when he goes with Sonic to the ARK, He starts to rely on more than one source, one being on who he though he would never see again. Rated T for Violence and Later... Stuff. Also has some Original characters. Pairings

Disclaimer: I do not own Shadow the Hedgehog or any other Sonic Character. Even though I'd hire better voice actors. grumble grumble

First fan fic... Second Fan fic, Excuse me. My first one was actually done on this computer, and is still on it. Perhaps I shall again, pick up that one. But this one is a Shadow the hedgehog one, and must be written! This takes after the Dark ending in the completely Neutral Route. This ending leaves Shadow with a sense of Power And that he is created better than the original.

"This is WHO I AM!" Shadow Exclaimed just before ending the doctor's life.

That was hours ago and Shadow was now heading towards the abyss known as the black comet. Hitching a ride from Sonic, he sat relaxing himself, eager to destroy anything that won't land him in undesirable trouble, so the Black Army shouldn't be a problem wiping out.

"Hey Shadow!" Sonic greeted as he took a seat on the opposite side. The Blue hedgehog had a cheeky grin and a physique that rivaled Shadow's. "What's up?"

"Don't you ever shut up?" Shadow casual insulted, looking at the ever coming Ark in the distance.

"Don't you ever say anything nice?" Sonic Countered. His attention turned, also, to the nearing mechanical station. "Do you remember when we last were here?"

Shadow turned to Sonic and frowned. His fang gleamed from one of the onbourd lights. "I am an Android, Sonic."

"Say Wha? No you're not," Sonic reprimended.

Shadow Sighed. It's no use talking to some people. "The Shadow you knew died. You watched him. How can you say I am him? I am his copy. An Android." Shadow explained. Why he was, He never knew. "And I am more powerful than the original!"

"You are the original, Shadow! You just got a bump on the head." Sonic argued. His was sitting straight up now, ready to stop Shadow if he tried to leave.

"I have no time for this." Shadow Stood up and began to leave, but was instantly blocked by Sonic. "Get out of my way, Sonic." He shook his head. "I'll blow you to smitherens." Sonic just looked cocky and smiled.

"Oh come on, You realize I beat you last time too." The Blue hedgehog sounded.

Shadow glared hard at the hedgehog before him. Why did he think he was the original. Why did he think he could beat him. Who did he think he was... And yet.Maybe he had some answers. He had, so far, looked in trouble places for answers. "Alright Sonic, I'm listening. Tell me why you think I'm the real one. Tell me my past." He said, crossing his arms and looking away.

"Allright, but It may take awhile. Lets talk after we defeat the black aliens." Sonic declared, as the Ark was within 50 meters, and you could point out some of the aliens. "Looks like GUN has deployed some mechs. This should be fun." He set off to the exit.

Shadow sighed. Looks like he would have to go through more danger to go get the answers he needed. And hey, if Sonic didn't give him the ones he wanted, he had the Emeralds to give to Black Doom. He had all the bases covered.
