summary: Jack's first impressions of Sue.
notes: This is the first fic for FanFic100 over at LJ. I signed up for Sue Thomas FBEye: General. This account is only for those 100 fics. I'm doing them in order of prompts. I have not yet decided if they will all interlock to become a bigger story or not, but currently they are stand alone.
I may rewrite this eventually, but I want to crank out all 100 before I do drastact re-editing and stuff.

He couldn't help but smile. Today had actually proved interesting. The case itself was rather dull, and there were no new breaks. In fact, he was ready to pass it off as an unsolved and move on. The case in the first place wasn't worthy of his surveillance team anyways, he had only taken it because they had been going crazy with boredom. The only exciting thing in the past few months up until today was moving floors. He was glad they had moved, because otherwise a pretty blonde would have never crossed his path today. She had burst into the room, and as his desk was closest to the door she made her way towards him. She started on a tirade and for a moment he wondered if she was crazy or something before he actually understood what she was saying. She worked here. For the FBI. In fingerprinting apparently. He was sure he made a dumb comment or two before saying that this wasn't personnel, as they had switched offices. She had frowned and told him they should change the directory. He thought it was odd but cute at the same time. She excused herself, and that's when he noticed the golden retriever sitting patiently beside her.

He had made his way over to her at lunch, because curiosity was getting the better of him. He was secretly glad when she told him he could sit and hoped that the relief hadn't come across his face. She -- Sue, smiled. He made some sort of small talk before he asked about her dog, Levi. He had read the little FBI tag as he had sat down. He was amazed as she explained slowly that she was deaf. Deaf? When she told him how she communicated, he was instantly intrigued. (Not that he hadn't been already, because she was that pretty.) As he tried to concentrate and not stare at her lips, an idea formed. He turned around and saw Myles sitting outside smugly. He grinned wickedly and asked what he said. After a moment of hesitation, she finally agreed. Amazed at what she said, he tried to keep a straight face. She would be a perfect fit. Too bad it would be a tough sell.

"You okay mate?"
He looked up and saw Bobby staring at him, a grin on his face.
"What?" he asked, clearing his throat.
Bobby shook his head in amusement.
"Would this happen to be about that shelia that came in here earlier?"
He stared. Had he been that obvious?
"It's written all over your face sparky."
Smirking, Bobby grabbed his coat and made his way towards the door.
After Bobby left, all he could do was smile.
Today had to have been the beginning of something. He knew somehow or another, he'd be smiling a lot more often nowadays.
