2nd chapter! Oh yeah! Just watched the anime version of Count of Monte Cristo and it rocks! You have to watch it! Trust me…
And totally agree with you Wakizashi, the movie sucked and it didn't have Haydee in it, but the anime does! Oh yeah!
Nothing Wrong
"What do you mean?" Dantès yelled.
"Count…My father, listen to me…I can no longer be of your assistant," Morrel bowed his head, "some things have come about."
"What?"
Haydee was listening behind the door. She knew it was wrong of her, but all the yelling from Dantès grabbed her attention.
"My Valentine…she died," he looked away from him.
Haydee was struck. The only person she ever called sister was dead. Tears rolled down her now red cheeks and her lips went dry.
"I'm sorry…" Dantès started, "is there…?"
"No!" Morrel yelled, "no, there's nothing you could do…"
"I understand."
Morrel walked toward the door, opened it; not noticing Haydee, showed himself out.
"Come in, Haydee," Dantès said.
"I'm so-" She ran over to him before she finished and started to cry, "why? Why did she g-go? Why? My only sister?"
Dantès held her close, resting his head on hers. She grabbed his coat and he just pulled her closer.
"It'll be alright…" He gently rubbed her back, "she wouldn't want us to cry over her. I'm certain she would want us to be glad…"
"Glad?" She said tears still resting on her cheeks, "I am not happy."
"Glad isn't happy, it's more," he smiled.
She smiled back, "as long as I see your smile, I'll be glad."
