Disclaimer: I dun own FMA, Arakawa Hiromu does. No sue, no touchie.

A/N- This was inspired by Episode 37. I think it may be a smidge crappy, since this is the first FMA ficlet I've ever written, so bear with me here. Havoc/Schieska, kind of fluffy. Enjoy!

She saw him day in and day out, the bachelor lieutenant everyone felt sorry for. He went around the area of the base, looking for a woman to spend time with and maybe to marry, but he somehow found that within forty-eight hours or so, said woman would hook up with Colonel Mustang. He just had that charm to him that drove women wild…or at least most of them.

When Schieska wasn't busy recalling vast amounts of military documentation, she nursed somewhat of a fond feeling for Havoc. She was attracted to his directness, the way his cigarette hung out of his mouth in that falsely rebellious, I-don't-give-a-crap sort of manner. But the oddest thing that attracted her to Havoc was his never-ending string of bad luck with the ladies, precisely because she wanted to end it.

She overheard some of the other officers say that they were trying to find him a date, yet again, and that it was a matter of boosting company morale, again. She paused for a moment in transcribing a top-secret document on the Philosopher's Stone and went out into the hallway to have a better listen.

But…she bumped into Havoc.

Pushing up her glasses and retaining her composure, she said, "What's all the hassle about?"

"Aww, they just want to find me another girlfriend. Yanno, I want one that's smart and cute and won't cheat on me, ever…"

"Well, what about me?" Schieska raised her voice so as to sound more assertive. "I'm smart, and cute, and I don't believe in cheating, ever!"

Havoc took a puff on his cigarette and smiled softly. "Hey, I might just take you up on that. You don't strike me as the type to go after Colonel Stud Magnet"- with this he smirked- "and my last date with Armstrong's sister was just…creepy."

She was trying hard to suppress her blushing, to stay cool and composed at work; with this in mind, she saluted him. "Thank-thank you, sir."

"No problem. Friday at eight sound good?"

Schieska smiled and nodded, and then went back to work, putting her newfound joy into copying the Philosopher's Stone documentation.
