Catch me please

Disclaimer: I own nothing! Absolutely nothing…

She brushed her long soft brown curls out of her caramel eyes. She steadied herself on top of the Astronomy Tower, ready to plunge and leave her life, her friends, her love…her pain. Then, without thinking leapt off the tower…to the ground…

Catch me as I fall

Say you're here and it's all over now

Speaking to the atmosphere

No one's here and I fall into myself

This truth drives me

Into madness

I know I can stop the pain

If I will it all away

He stalked around outside of the castle, and swept his seemingly black 'greasy' hair from his charcoal eyes, his cloak billowing quietly behind him. He heard something- a thud that penetrated the silence of the night…he ran to it.

Pain shot through her body. Soft whispers that came from the trees met her ears, and darkness soon met her eyes…

Don't turn away

(Don't give in to the pain)

Don't try to hide

(Though they're screaming your name)

Don't close your eyes

(God knows what lies behind them)

Don't turn out the light

(Never sleep never die)

He stood emotionless, in front of the limp, seemingly lifeless body of whom he loved. A single tear leaked out of his left eye. He scooped her up, and ran to the Infirmary.

As he ran, he mumbled, "Stay with us…there will be too much pain without you…and one heartbreak."

And for the first time in his life, Severus Snape was afraid.

I'm frightened by what I see

But somehow I know

That there's much more to come

Immobilized by my fear

And soon to be

Blinded by tears

I can stop the pain

If I will it all away

Madame Pomfrey quickly aided Severus, and laid Hermione in a white linen covered bed. She shooed Severus out, and began to examine her body, and heal what she could.

Hermione- though eyes shut, saw figures of white, beckoning her to join them…to leave this world into another.

Hermione's pulse became less, and less frequent…almost a dead line.

Severus paced outside; trying to figure out why Hermione would ever commit- no, attempt Suicide.

He gulped and paled, "Or at least I hope she didn't succeed." He muttered.

More tears fell down his cheeks, "Hang on love." He whispered.

Don't turn away

(Don't give in to the pain)

Don't try to hide

(Though they're screaming your name)

Don't close your eyes

(God knows what lies behind them)

Don't turn out the light

(Never sleep never die)

Hermione sighed calmly, watching the entrancing figures dance around her, and listened to Death call her name.

Fallen angels at my feet

Whispered voices at my ear

Death before my eyes

Lying next to me I fear

She beckons me

Shall I give in

Upon my end shall I begin

Forsaking all I've fallen for

I rise to meet the end

Madame Pomfry worked harder, and force-fed more colorful potions to Miss Granger. Poppy's eyebrows furrowed with confusion. Medically, Hermione was okay…she's lost the will to live.

Poppy took Severus inside, led him to Hermione's bedside, and told him, what was happening to her.

Tears filled his eyes, he held her hand and gently ran his fingers over her knuckles.

He spoke in a bare whisper, "Hermione, love, listen to my voice. You can't leave me here alone, it just wouldn't work out, just-"

Her eyes opened slightly, and she ran her fingers along his cheek, "Sev, they know my name…"

He kissed her forehead, "But I know you."

She sighed and gently closed her eyes, "Sev, turn off the lights, it's too bright."

More tears ran down his face, "There aren't any lights on love."

Don't turn away

(Don't give in to the pain)

Don't try to hide

(Though they're screaming your name)

Don't close your eyes

(God knows what lies behind them)

Don't turn out the light

(Never sleep never die)

She took her last breath, and said softly, "Sev…I love you."
