When did Duo end and Shinigami begin?
Sometime during the piloting years, he determines. But that doesn't mean he misses the fact that he is without childhood. Or, at least, much of one.
He envies the children, yet part of him is glad – there is still hope for the young of his colony. They have a future, while he wallows in the aftermath of the war.
The war changed him, made him grow up too fast, but he smiles anyway – now they have peace. Mission accomplished.
