Shadows shifted, clothes softly rustled, claws scraped against the ground. He nearly leapt at the man as he reached for the girl's hand.

He stopped. Kagome had pulled her hand away. Gold softened slightly as he looked up at her face. His guilty gaze met hers. Forgiven.
