Sometimes it was hard for even him to believe that his body housed two beings. At times, his mind felt cramped as he wrestled the phantom thief for space. Sometimes, the deep voice was a nuisance as he provided snarky commentary to Daisuke's actions. Other times, Dark was a comforting presence in the back of his mind.
It was Dark who made him unique.
And as much as Daisuke didn't want to admit, Dark was as much a part of him as he was himself. The Phantom Thief, the variable, one and the same as Daisuke, the one and only.
