Chapter One: Another Summer At Privet Drive
In the hot, dry and silent street of Privet Drive, Harry Potter was taking a walk. He was thinking about last year, he was remembering the overwhelming hatred he had felt toward Snape when he had pointed his wand at Dumbledore and killed him. He remembered how he wanted revenge, and how he wanted to hunt Voldemort down and kill him, just like Voldemort had done to his parents. On top of all that, he was trapped in Privet Drive for the whole summer with his Aunt and Uncle who hated his guts. At least this is my last year Harry would think when the subject of living with them popped into his head. He then thought about how happy he had been each time he stepped into Hogwarts after a long, hard summer with the Dursley's. But now he didn't know what Hogwarts would be like without Dumbledore there. Then all his thoughts were drowned out by the yell of his Uncle Vernon.
"HARRY POTTER!" he yelled from the kitchen window. Harry whipped around and looked at Uncle Vernon. "I TOLD YOU TO STAY INSIDE!" This was what Harry dreaded every summer. He knew it was against Uncle Vernon's rules to be out of the house. Harry walked back to Number Four Privet Drive where he would have to face his raging Uncle. As soon as Harry walked through the door Uncle Vernon grabbed him by the neck and threw him into one of the chairs in the kitchen. "LISTEN TO ME POTTER! THIS IS THE LAST TIME YOU DISOBEY ME! THIS IS IT! ME, DUDLEY, AND MY WIFE WERE GENEROUS ENOUGH TO TAKE YOU IN, AND WE'VE HAD IT! IF I SEE YOU SET ONE FOOT OUT OF YOUR ROOM YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR LOT AGAIN!" Uncle Vernon had spat all this out so quickly, that Harry had not had time to digest it all. "IF YOU CAN'T LIVE BY MY RULES, YOU CAN'T LIVE IN MY HOUSE!" As Harry took the rest of that in, he thought that it would be a good thing not living with the Dursley's. Harry no longer paid attention to Uncle Vernon's utter nonsense. Instead he drifted back into thought. He thought about how happy he would be to see his friends again, to be around people who cared about him. But he knew he was stuck with the Dursley's all summer. That is when it hit him. I am stuck here unless I do something about it Harry thought. "ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?" Uncle Vernon yelled grabbing him by his shirt. "YOU GET TO YOUR ROOM NOW! UP!" He screamed out. Harry obeyed him and walked up to his room. When he got there Uncle Vernon slammed the door shut and locked the door.
Harry laid on his bead and thought about how he would get out of there.
