A/N: Unfortunately, does not allow indentations (i.e. tabs) in their formatting system. This is a discouragement to me because the format of a poem is just as important as what is in it. Therefore, where I wish there to be an tab, you will see a "-". I know it's rather distracting, but please try to imagine that it is indented and it 'twould be much appreciated. Enjoy.

Move On, Samwise

Look back.
Oh God, look back!
If only to see your face for one last time,
To see light sparkle in those clouded eyes once more;
Maybe even to hear your voice
Before it is silenced by the distance between us.

O! what we have been through together!
-Together
We conquered all, don't you see?
Stuck by your side for all those days,
Only to be left behind now.
-Now
Now I understand.

Please don't cry.
That's not how I want to remember you,
-with a tear-stained face.
Just smile and laugh,
Look forward to your future,
Wherever Future might take you
-And you alone.

Now I understand.
You love, but break,
You hate, but vanquish,
And yet none of it is wrong in a world
-such as this
Because you saved it, you!
-And I?

I
Look back
So that I might see your smile, your eyes, your…

Satisfaction, then, knowing your dreams have come true:
-That your dreams live one;
-That your love holds dear;
-That your life was not wasted.
That I can tell the story.
-Your story.
-My story.

Our story.
