Disclaimer: I may own the dvd's, games, books, lightsabers, action figures, posters, etc., but I in no way own the rights to Star Wars. I haven't saved up enough yet… Pretty pathetic for a 25 year old, huh?
Obi-Wan's feelings during his duel with Darth Maul. This is a one shot poem. Written just after The Phantom Menace hit theaters (I've been going through old boxes, and found this…). This is my first time to publish a poem. Any good? Let me know…
The Final Confrontation
I see you lying there
Unmoving
Your killer stares at me
Glaring
Daring me to fight for you.
The way is blocked
Light
The color red is all I see
Anger
But the fight must go on.
Suddenly the time has come
Freedom
I move to engage him
Fury
The fight has begun again.
I stare into the face of evil
Hatred
I know I cannot win
Regret
But still the fight goes on.
My turn now to die
Sorrow
Yet I will live for you
Survival
As the fight rages on.
I reach an inner stillness
Calm
I know what I need to do
Victory
He falls before me.
I stare at your broken body
Remorse
I've no way to bring you back
Grieving
The fight is over, and you are gone.
Well, what did you think? Should I stick to stories? Believe me, I won't be offended...
