Disclaimer: Do I look like I own the TMNT? No!

A/N this is short and very depressing. They may seem a little OOC but take into account that people who have faced traumatic losses seldom do and tend to go to extremes. I just feel down right at the moment and I don't know why.

Mike sat on the swing in the park and gently rocked back and forth. His tears created rivers of pain and heartache.

Everything happened all at once. Splinter had been killed, Leo was in a coma, and Raph and Don had gotten into a serious fight and Raph had ran off. All this had happened a week ago.

Now the only company he had was a comatose Leo and a very bitter Don who just recently had finally lost his temper and poor Mike had become the target of a very brutal verbal assault.

Mike had taken it without a word. After Don had finished he had told him to leave and not return.

Now he sat on the swing and let it all out. All he could hear was Don's voice and his own as he put himself down.

Worthless.

Pathetic.

Useless.

Stupid.

Mike pulled a knife out of his pocket and looked at it. He thought about slicing his throat. Noone would care. He'd be out of their way forever.

He shut his eyes and brought the knife against his neck and started to slide it across. He was surprised to find that he didn't die.

He jammed it and ripped it in, out, up, and down, various parts of his body until he was just a bloody mess.

He stood up and welcomed the darkness that came.

It was there that Raph and Don found him.

Don cradled him close. "I'm so sorry Mikey! I never meant it at all! Mike! Michelangelo!"

Raph bowed his head. He let out a roar of pain and anguish.

Don cupped Mike's pale face. He leaned over and kissed his forehead. "I love you," he whispered.

Raph knelt beside Donny. He tearfully hugged him. "I'm sorry Donny. I love you."

Don lifted his gaze to meet Raph's eyes. "W-we're all that's left. I'm sorry Raph! Please don't leave me!"

Raph cradled Don close to him. "Never."

For awhile after that all they saw was darkness in their lives. It always hurt to see families go by.

But time eventually healed them and even made them stronger. After all the only ones they had were each other.

The End

Please don't kill me!
