DISCLAIMER – The Robot series is the property of Isaac Asimov. I wish I could take responsibility for these books but I can't so therefore this fanfic (although based on the Robot series) isn't connected with those books in any way that would make me liable.
My sister and I hadn't been any closer or farther apart then the average Spacer, but as Solarians, we were more distant then any star in the sky. We harvested this disinterest in family and emotional attachment due to the fear of loss. Losing someone you love is difficult enough to bear for ten decades but for the 400+ years of a Spacers life it is unbearable.
Solaria is unlike any of the other 49 Spacer worlds in that we Solarians enjoy a life secluded from one another. I never even met my parents because there was no need to; I had over 10,000 robots at my disposal. There are only 20,000 people on Solaria and about 10,000 on Helionia. Our manor, the Delmarre manor, was one of 1200 worldwide and had a population of more then 20,000, only two human.
My sister married eventually, but stayed at our manor. I still remember when she left after that Earthman solved Gladia's husbands death. My sister, Gladia, left with that Earthman and I never heard of her again, or not for thousands or years.
Excuse the length of this chapter but it is just a prologue. Tell me what you think about it positive or negative, but please review.
