Hey everybody…..ok. So this story is basically lit and java junkie. Luke said no to Lorelai's proposal, they broke up. Some months later they realized the love they shared for each other, and got back together. Logan and Rory broke up. She is now with Jess. Set about 2 years into the future.

Disclaimer I don't own the Gilmore Girls's, if I did, I wouldn't be giving you all my brilliant ideas. LOL. ). All of the characters belong to Amy Sherman-Palladino, and the WB.

Gilmore Graduate Sorrow

(Yale campus)

Congratulations to the Yale class of 2006.

Rory caught up with Lorelai after the ceremony.

"Hey mom."

"Hey! Congratulations! I knew you could do it!"

"Yeah."

Lorelai smiled at Rory, who was staring down at her shoes.

"I got a job offer."

"Honey, that's great from who?"

"Well actually it's an internship. It's in Oregon."

Lorelai stood in shock, but still smiling at her daughter.

"So are you gonna go?" She asked, as if she was completely unsure of how to handle her daughter's situation.

"I hope so. I mean I don't want to leave you here, but I really need this internship."

"I know." Lorelai sighed deeply.

"Well it's your decision, not mine."

"I know, I love you mom."

"I love you to, Rory."

They hugged and then stared into each other's gleaming eyes for a moment.

"Come on you little journalist- let's go grab something to eat."

"Sounds good to me."

As they were leaving the auditorium, Rory recognized a familiar shadowy figure across the street, holding a dozen white roses and a balloon reading 'Congratulations'. When they walked over there, Rory hugged Jess and then swapped a kiss.

"Hey, congratulations"

"Thanks." Rory's face now had special glow as she smiled at Jess.

Lorelai briefly ruined the moment and said, "Hey, why don't you come to lunch with us."

"Kool"

(Coffeehouse)

The three walked into the diner and grab a booth. Rory and Jess on one seat, and Lorelai opposite from them.

The waitress takes their order and then Rory adjusts herself in the booth, so that she is facing Jess. Just before Rory talks, Lorelai receives a text message form Luke reading, 'You're a doll, meet me at the house.'

"Well, I better go."

"Ok, bye!" Rory sounds enthusiastic.

"I'll catch you later at the house."

"K."

"Jess, there's something I have to tell you."

"Ok, shoot."

"I got an internship offer at this great journalism office-"

"Rory, that's your dream!"

"I know- but it's in Oregon."

The waitress showed up with their lunch specials and Jess switched to the other side of the booth.

Rory and Jess quietly gobbled up their meals- excluding the occasional "pass the salt" or "I love you".

When they finished, Jess picked up the tab and then the couple walked outside.

Rory says, "So about the Oregon thing."

"Yeah."

"What should we do?"

"I'll go with you."

Rory began to gleam and glow again.

In the meantime, Lorelai drove into the driveway, to find Luke on the porch next to her dollhouse. When she walked up Luke said, "Open it." When she did, she found a white gold band with a diamond set in it.

She glowed like Rory was doing.

"Yes!"
