Forgotten memories,
Seep through my skin.
The pain takes over;
It's burning me within.
Take back the words you said;
They haunt me in my sleep.
Nightmares consume me slowly;
I'm falling so deep.
Yearning for your touch,
I need to be with you.
Whisper to me,
Say you love me too.
Enticed by your presence;
Enraptured by those eyes,
Imprisoned inside this world
I'm living a lie.
Please… don't come to me!
Let me forget,
Falling in love with you,
Is something I regret.
Numbness creeps back in;
Your face is so distant.
My thoughts of you are fading;
You're gone in an instant.
Forgotten memories,
They've gone away.
They are always there;
They'll haunt me another day.

Author's Note: Its been some time since I have updated these poems, but it feels great to take a break and come back fresh and new.
