Kiss Me Into Oblivion

Cho looked over at her nearest neighbor, and saw it was somebody who was liked by most of the school, for different reasons all around. Her neighbor was a young girl just like Cho herself, from Hufflepuff named Hannah Abbot.

It wasn't just her schoolmates that liked her because she was loyal, and a true friend to everyone who came to her, it was the fact that she didn't look half bad either, but Cho looked over at Hannah with a mixture of surprise, as well as a bit of a feeling of conquest. She knew that by her being with Hannah, it wouldn't just make Michael Corner, her current boyfriend jealous, it would also make Harry Potter jealous, since he would then realize that there would never be a chance for them to get back together.

After their disastrous relationship that had occurred in Cho's sixth year, Cho had sworn that she could have sworn off men altogether after what she and Marietta had both termed The Potter Incident, Marietta had tried coming on to Cho, and she had been successful in
getting Cho to experiment with other people, and was able to help her get over Harry.

But Hannah Abbot… Now there was a challenge for Cho. If truth be told, Cho didn't care what her fellow schoolmates thought of her. Cho was looking for someone who she could conquer, which was why she was looking at Hannah.

This will be the easiest one yet, she thought to herself, as she watched Hannah and Ernie McMillan discussing the latest article on Dumbledore in the Daily Prophet.

"They'll never let him rest in peace," Hannah said, forestalling any comment from Ernie, who had his mouth open ready to say something.

"Of course they won't Hannah," Ernie said, exasperated. "Anything that they believe they can dig up on him now that he's gone, they will. The Prophet has free range, and unfortunately, they are taking as many pot shots as they can. Just because he was respected by most of the sensible students here," and he looked over at Cho, in case she was ready to say something, "doesn't mean that everyone respected him.

"Dumbledore commanded respect for everything he did," Cho said.

"That's what I've been trying to drive through this numbscull's head for the past twenty minutes," Hannah said to Cho, giving her a rare smile. Ever since the deaths that had wreaked havoc in hers and many other families, she had rarely smiled, which reflected the mood around most of the castle.

"Glad I could help," Cho said, and quickly she leaned in to kiss Hannah. However, when Hannah backed away from Cho, Hannah had a look of horror on her face.

"What do you think your doing?" she screamed, and earned a reproachful stare from Madame Pince, because they were in the library.
"I thought you wanted a kiss," she explained.

"NOT FROM YOU, YOU SICKO." Hannah screeched at Cho, and ran from the library.

Cho decided to make her way back to the common room before the news spread throughout the school, and was able to do so, and was greeted by Marietta, her best friend.

"You okay, love?" Marietta asked.

"I messed up big," Cho replied. "I tried kissing Hannah Abbot, and she freaked.

"Then, I told you it wouldn't work, now didn't I?

"Yes, you did. You told me how you felt all right.

"And how do you feel about me?

"The same I've always felt.

"Come on Cho," Marietta exclaimed. "I told you I loved you, and yet you can't say it back to me?

"I love you, Marietta.

"Then kiss me, you fool!

And as they kissed, and the rest of the world drifted away from them.
