The Jedi were now nothing more than a myth, crushed by Palpatine and Obi-Wan Kenobi's former apprentice, Anakin Skywalker.
Obi-Wan Kenobi had nothing left now. Everything he held dear, he had lost. Anakin. Padme. Mace. Kit Fisto. The list was endless. Why, then, did he promise Yoda to look after Anakin's son?
Everything was gone.
Obi-Wan reached into his robe pocket and took out a deep blue crystal, as he always did when he slipped into depression. The stone brought back memories of the girl-, no, the woman he loved.
If only you were here now with me, he thought sadly.
I'll never leave you, silly, a voice seemed to speak to him from the crystal. He gazed at the crystal and for a moment, he could almost see her once again.
The color of eyes.
The touch of her hands.
Her sweet smile.
Indeed. You will never leave me. Obi-Wan smiled. He still loves Siri Tachi, no matter how much he tried to forget it all the pain, all his sad memories.
Siri's memory was the one he treasured most. Because it didn't invite sadness and depression. No, it reminded him of the joy and the happiness she always gave him. It gave him the will to live on. Obi-Wan smiled.
I love you.
