The Mary Sue
The Mary Sue, sweet beautiful child,
She loves, she cares, she radiates so fair,
A teen she may be but her words are mild,
To wound, kill Sauron alone, would she dare.
Her sword is of the precious mithril wrought,
By elven smiths of high repute of old,
Her mission, her quest, by the Valar sought,
For they but envy her beauty untold.
An angel is she, of royalty too,
Her voice as bells that tinkle in the wind,
Male mortals and elves alike her do woo,
For righteous her deeds, she has never sinned.
To be worshipped or despised is her fate,
Amo et odi, I love and I hate.

Anyone else feel this way about the Mary Sue? Sometimes she's nice to cuddle up by the fire and read about but sometimes…KILL!
'Amo et odi' is literally, I love (amo) and (et) I hate (odi) yay, you've all learnt some latin today! (I swear from the bottom of my heart that last sentence wasn't meant to rhyme, my brain is just in rhyming mode, forgive it please)
Please review and I'll teach you more Latin -watches potential reviewers scamper off in fear- ok joking, but I really would like to see if people liked it! Thank you!
PS If any english teachers read this, I apologize for any unintentional errors in the iambic pentameter, but please try to take take this how it was meant - as a joke!
