Disclaimer: I don't own any of it. Although I wished, I did; it all belongs to Disney...
Ok, this just so happens to be a story I had to write for English class using my vocab words; that explains the reason why there are many words that start with 'I'. Secondly, I'm not a huge Norrington fan but with the list of words I had to write a story from, it seemed to really go with his POV about pirates. So, read on and I hope you enjoy...I don't really like it but I decided to post it.
If I get some good reviews, this will probably be a series of one-shots about the main characters. (Like Will/Liz or Jack/Ana etc...)
"No one knows how hard it is"
He sighed, no one knows how hard my job is. His job consisted of more than paperwork, fancy titles, uniforms and parties. It also consisted of him making the seas safer to sail upon. This includes most of all, catching pirates. The warm, spring breeze blew softly on Norrington's face as he contemplated how to catch his next pirate. Ugh, pirates, they were indeed a horrible lot and an impediment to promotions. What he would give to be rid of the illicit group. His thoughts were interrupted as a servant informed him that he should hurry or else he will risk being late for his promotion ceremony. With that, the soon-to-be commodore stepped into his carriage.
(During Elizabeth's rescue and Jack's escape)
The mere sight of the man incensed the newly-made commodore. And, after finding out that it was the infamous Jack Sparrow, he now felt more need than ever to incarcerate the devil. Just to think of all the heinous crimes that Sparrow probably has committed is enough to lock him away forever.
However, Norrington felt a twinge of guilt as a fleeting thought crossed his mind. If it had not been for Sparrow, Elizabeth would have surely died. He knew he never could have reached her in time. While she could be quite difficult at times, she had made this point quite clear.
But as the immaculate "Commodore Norrington of His Majesty's Royal Navy," he had to become immutable to policies and laws, regardless of emotions. He had to be implacably heartless in administering justice. Hopefully, this implicit view would not impugn on his love for a beautiful woman.
Imagine the ignominy that would follow if he let Sparrow escape his grasp. He had created for himself a certain immunity toward pirates and that's the way it would always be.
Yet, now, after Sparrow's quick and impervious escape, he knew he had reached an impasse. His decision stood firm.
"Gillette, I do believe Sparrow has a dawn appointment with the gallows; I would hate for him to miss it."
Gillette understood and with a nod, he was off in pursuit of the pirate.
Norrington sighed, no one knows how hard it is to be the commodore.
