I watched him, throwing swift punches and unexpected kicks. He fought like no other vampire I had ever seen. He didn't know that I had been following him for the past few nights. God listen to me...I had been following him. What alternate universe did I fall into?
'Oyo pretty a firefly' I thought as at flew round in circles, it suddenly stopped, I noticed that it had gotten caught in a web. Just as I went to free it a massive black furry spider crawled down onto my hand. A high-pitched scream escaped from my mouth as I violently shook my hand and jumped back. Almost as soon as I realised the noise I had made a dark figure with vibrantly blonde hair appeared in front of me with a pissed off look on his face.
'Slayer,' he said whilst giving me the evil eye.
'Hello Spike,' I replied with a sigh.
'Now do be a good girl and tell a fella what exactly why you've been following me the past few nights,' he asked.
'How did you- ah, the freaky smell thing you vampires have. Wait, if you knew why didn't you say anything?'
'Just wanted to see how long you'd keep it up for love...plus you could get a nice gander at good-looking me' he said with a smirk.
I shook my head and gave him a smile, 'Look I was just curious about what you were doing back in Sunnydale, that's all'
He looked at me with an 'I know there's more to it than that' face to which I continued, 'and I wanted to see how you fight. You've killed two slayers in your time and-'
I was cut off by a cockney accent 'and you didn't want to be the third'
In a way he was right, I was scared of dying...but not from Spike, if anything he was the least of my worries. I just wanted to know what he was like in battle, and how he won.
'Don't flatter yourself, you're really not number 1 on my 'threats to me' list anymore, if anything you haven't even made the list this week,' I told him with an evil tone in my voice.
Spike looked hurt, sort of like I'd crushed his pride. Oops. But I saw a glint in his eye which meant he was pleased about something, he began to say 'so...so I used to be number 1?'
I rolled my eyes, but figured I should say something just to be nice...why spike deserved this I don't know, 'At some point you were,' God I was sick of this being nice already, time for some pride crushing, I smiled, 'Although now you've gotten a little soft if you ask me'
