Under the Bed

This is my first attempt at a one shot, so please review and tell me how I did.
I bet that every one of you has lost a shoe in the morning when you're in a rush, and then at last, the shoe is finally found in the most obvious place.
Well this story puts Lan into this situation in a very humorous way.
This story is also a very accurate portrayal of what has happened to me on multiple mornings.
Now time for the disclaimers. I don't own Megaman NT Warrior or any of the characters. Now on to the story.
One Shot
Under the Bed
It was another typical morning in the Hikari household.
Mrs. Hikari was in the kitchen cooking breakfast.
Dr. Hikari was in the living room reading the paper.
Lan was in his bedroom looking for his left sneaker.
"Where can it be?" said Lan while digging through his closet.
"I'm going to be late for the carnival if I don't find my sneaker quickly" said Lan while digging through his laundry basket.
"Did you look under the bed?" asked Megaman.
"Yes Megaman, I looked under the bed" said Lan while searching under his desk.
After about 20 minutes, Lan had looked everywhere in his room that he could think of.
"I guess it's not in my room" said Lan.
"Are you sure you looked under the bed?" asked Megaman.
"For the last time Megaman, I already looked under the bed" said Lan.
Lan then stood up, grabbed his PET, walked out of his bedroom, and walked down the stairs into the living room.
When Lan got to the living room, he started to franticly look under the pillows and chairs. Then he looked under the table.
While Lan was under the table, Dr Hikari asked "Lan what are you doing?"
Lan got out from under the table and said "I'm looking for my left sneaker."
"Did you look under the bed?" asked Dr. Hikari.
"I looked under the bed already Dad" said Lan while looking under the couch.
"Are you sure?" asked Dr. Hikari
"Positive" said Lan while looking under a chair.
"Alright then" said Dr. Hikari.
After about 20 minutes, Lan had looked everywhere in the living room that he could think of. So he got up and walked into the dining room.
When he got there, Lan crawled under the table to look for his left sneaker.
"What are you doing?" asked Mrs. Hikari.
"I'm looking for my left sneaker" said Lan while looking behind a potted plant.
"Did you look under the bed?" asked Mrs. Hikari.
"Yes, I already looked under the bed" said Lan while looking inside the potted plant.
"Are you sure?" asked Mrs. Hikari.
"I'm sure" said Lan while looking through a pile of newspapers.
"Ok Lan, if you're sure" said Mrs. Hikari.
After Lan had looked everywhere in the dining room that he could think of, he walked back into the living room and sat down.
"Where could it be?" thought Lan.
Just then the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it" said Lan.
Lan walked up to the front door and opened it. Standing there was Maylu.
"Lan why are you still here? We've been waiting over an hour for you" asked Maylu.
"I'm sorry Maylu, but I can't find my left sneaker" said Lan.
"I bet I can find it Lan" said Maylu.
"I would love to see you try" said Lan.
"Okay" said Maylu.
Maylu walked into Lan's house and up the stairs. About a minute later, she walked down the stairs with Lan's left sneaker in hand.
"Where did you find it?" asked Lan.
Maylu replied, "Under the bed."
