Dreaming
Chapter 2
'I can't believe how lucky I am, I'm on Sasuke's team, Ino must be so jealous!' thought Sakura happily as she walked home merrily. She was trying to think positive and push the fact that Sasuke called her annoying out of her mind. She couldn't wait to tell her parents that she had finally got a team, and would be trained by a real Jounin tomorrow! 'It's going to be SSSSSOOOOOO much fun!' she thought.
After about a 10 minute walk she was at the driveway to her house. She placed her hand on the door knob and wiggled it a bit, but it wouldn't open. She unhooked a silver chain she had hanging around her neck and stuck the key that hung on it in the door. She turned it slowly until she heard a click; then opened the door. "MOM DAD, I'M HOME!" she yelled out loudly. Silence. "MOM, DAD?" she called again. "ARE YOU HOME?"
'Some parents they are' she thought, 'Never here when I need you, or when something good happens. Why can't you just care a little more, then again no one seems to care about me anymore…'
She walked into the kitchen and noticed a note on the counter.
'Gone out, be back around 1 am; love you, Mom and Dad.
P.S. Dinner's in the fridge.
"I'm not really hungry anyways" she said out loud as if the note was really her mom. She had gotten used to talking to notes, they were there almost everyday. But post-it notes weren't a good substitute for real parents. She remembered how Sasuke had no parents, and post-it notes didn't seem as pathetic anymore, but they were still pretty pathetic. The thought of Sasuke made those words she wanted to forget return, and echo over and over in her mind
'You're annoying…'
'I'll show how strong I really am, then I won't be annoying anymore, Sasuke will love me, and so will my parents…' she thought as she drifted off to sleep.
Sakura woke up shivering cold, lying on a bench. Then it all came rushing back to her head "He's gone" she whispered quietly, trying to keep the tears from flooding.
Today had been a long day for her, explaining over and over a moment that hurt her so much, it was time to go to bed, and as she slept another memory of him came creeping in, the second dream was starting.
