Broken
Chapter 1- is set three years before the time period the show is set in now, but chapter 2 will be in the same time period as the show is in on Disney Channel. I just wanted to give Keely a past.
Disclaimer: I own nothing of Phil of the Future except this story line. This will be Pheely, but for now I just wanted to give Keely some background because the show never does.
Keely found herself feeling trapped and broken, all she wanted to do was to get out of her house! Her dad was so into being the perfect family, he cared so much about what other people thought, that the whole family was forced to wear a mask. Ever since Keely was in 5th grade, in Kansas, her parents had fought a lot because of her mom. Keely's mom was an alcoholic and she overdosed on pills. Keely's life was all about hiding her pain. Her mom had finally went to rehab when she was in the sixth grade. Keely was so excited, to finally have a mom she could trust, it felt like happiness was only six months away when her mom would finish rehab.
That didn't happen. Keely's mom came back, and for a week or two things were the best they had ever been, but not for long. Keely never had any friends that she really trusted with her secret, so she kept it to herself, no mater how bad off she was, she just put on the mask, like her dad had always taught her to do. Keely's mom suddenly averted back to her old ways. Keely decided then that she wasn't ever sure if she could love them the way she wanted to. They decided that they couldn't get a divorce, because it would mess up her father's reputation in the town, so they just held all the pain they had inside. Finally, a new opputuinty arose. Her mom was still so messed up., but her dad had been moved up in his company and that would require moving to Pickford.
Things still hadn't changed with her parents, but she had found a new friend in Phil Diffey. He had moved to Pickford just a year after she had, and she had hope for once. Her bright personality shown through all the pain she was overcoming, she was just glad to have Phil there to lean on.
