A New Chance

I grumbled as I got out of bed. Another boring day? I think not. I walked over and kissed my mom goodbye. She just thought I was a troubled teen. How far off could a mother be? I am no 'troubled teen', I am the leader of the Guardians to protect the veil. Sometimes though, I wish I could tell her. Our 'Mother/Daughter relationship' suffers because of it. I grabbed a piece of toast and walked out the door into the freezing snow.
"Will, Will!" My mom called, "Aren't you forgetting something?"
I turned around. I had my bookbag, my breakfast, so what was I missing?
"Alright, you got me. What am I forgetting?" I asked
"Will, It's a snow day!" My mom called to me
Snow Day? I haven't had one of those since...since...since...like forever. I ran back into my room and called my friends.
"It's time to play!" Irma joked
After much discussion we decided we would go to Meridan to see Elyon.
"Mom," I called, "I am going with my friends, so I won't be home!"
Surprisingly she agreed. We met in the park and changed into our guardian form. I took out the Heart and opened a portal. We all walked in together. Emerging in Meridan, we went straight to the castle. Now that Phobos didn't rule, the castle was filled with decorations and joyous things. We knocked on the door.
"Hello?" Elyon asked, "Oh My Gosh! Hi!"
"Hi Elyon!" Will smiled.
"You made it just in time!" Elyon said dragging us in, "We are about to set up our Christmas tree!"
We all smiled. Elyon was so happy Ruling here. We followed her into the great hall, and saw a tree on the ground. It was HUGE.
"Can you girls help?" Elyon asked
"Sure," Cornelia said, "EARTH!"
The tree lifted itself up and into its holding.
"WATER!" Irma shouted
That supplied the tree water.
Then we all carried the people around, flying so they could decorate the tree. Soon, it was done. The lights were beautiful and it was an amazing sight.
We stayed for dinner there, and then saw ourselves to the door. We went back through the portal, and I held out the heart, closing it, and changing back into our old selves.
"I have to go." I said.
I walked back to my house and knocked on the door. My mom met me there, almost in tears.
"How could you forget!" She burst out in tears.
I held out a small gift. Wrapped and all.
"I didn't forget." I said, " Merry Christmas."
