Chapter 1: Prologue
"Lena, wait up!" The girl heard someone yell. She looked back. She couldn't see anything. She turned away, facing the dark waters of the lake, where the voices had directed her. They were louder now, driving her to the brink of insanity. Jump, Lena. You know you want to.
"No, I don't," She screamed. "Leave me alone." Jump. You don't have mutch time. Do it! She was suddenly attacked by thousands of voices. They were all telling her the same thing. She covered her ears. "No. No. Go away!" She let out a horrified scream, and the voices stopped. It was quiet. She let out a sigh of relief. She was safe. Or so she thought. You can't escape us. Her eyes widened as she heard that one final whisper. She got up and walked to the edge of the dock. "Ok. You win! I give up." She took a deep breath and jumped off the dock, into the water. She opened her eyes and saw a shadowy figure in front of her. She watched the light dance around it as it clapped. Good job, she heard it say in the same voice as she'd been hearing before it disappeared. She let out the air she'd been holding in, and allowed herself to sink to the bottom. The other girl finally appeared in front of the dock, looking for her.
"Lena, where are you?" She looked around for her friend, but saw nothing. "Where is she?" She walked up to the dock and looked over the edge. She gasped at what she saw. "Oh, no." She backed away from the water in horror. She got up and ran away as fast as she could.

MelindaGordon was sitting at behind the desk in her antique store. She hadn't had to help any ghosts for a while and she was trying to enjoy her time off as mutch as she could. She saw someone coming up to the door and walking in. It was Jim, her husband. "Hey," She said to him.
"Hey," he greeted back. "So, no ghosts yet?"
"Nope. Still free. I love this. I haven't had to deal with any ghosts or people or anything like that for 2 weeks." Just then, she heard a faint voice. "Did you hear that?"
"Hear what?" She looked back at where the noise had come from.
"I guess it was nothing." She went back to work. Seconds later, she heard the same noise, only louder. It seemed to be asking something. "Are you sure you don't hear anyhting?"
"Yeah. Why?" Before she could answer, the mumbling stopped and she heard an ear shattering scream. The lights inside the store started flickering on and off faster and faster. "What's going on?"
"I don't know." The screaming stopped and the lights went back to normal, but all of a sudden a young girl appeared in the corner of the room, looking at her darkly. It took her some time to realize that the girl was actually a ghost.
