Title: The Truth Is...

Author: Kori Hime AKA ShinyGlorChan

Pairing: YuffieRiku

Fandom: Kingdom Hearts

Theme: Theme 2, news; letter

Disclaimer: I do not own KH or this pairing would be canon of some sort.

Warnings: SPOILERS for Kingdom Hearts and some of Reverse Rebirth of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Knowing the whole story of both helps.

Glor: This takes place after Riku gets out of Castle Oblivion but it you should read 'A Chance Meeting' and 'Reunion' first so this doesn't seem completely random. I'm writing this whole YuffieRiku collection of stories out of order but after I'm done I'll hopefully put some order to it in my profile. Enjoy!

Riku's P.O.V.

Dear Yuffie,

I'm writing this now after escaping Kingdom Hearts and a place called Castle Oblivion. I hope you never have to endure what I'm going though. I hope you're safe. I keep hoping and that's one of the only thoughts that is keeping mesane during the constant fighting. Right now, we're in a lull and that's why I'm writing this now, while I still have the chance.

You know, you're such an annoyance. If you didn't plague my every thought, maybe the fighting would come easier. Maybe if my first kiss wasn't stolen by you in such a way that that moment is now engraved in my mind forever. Yuffie, the truth is-

I feel a chill down my spine and I abruptly stop writing. I know this feeling. It's the chill you get when you can feel the darkness is coming. I stand up from the writing desk in the small, hotel bedroom. I grab my black raincoat that I had gotten from Castle Oblivion and head for the bedroom adjoined to mine to find the King preparing as well.

"Riku, it's time to go." King Mickey states as we draw our Keyblades and open the door to come face to face with the enemy.

I take in a breath and sigh. I never got to finish that letter and now I won't be able to. Guess I'll just have to tell her face to face... I'll see you again, Yuffie. Were my last thoughts as went into another battle for my life.

Glor: That was drabble like... Oops... Oh, well. My inspiration was the song 'The Truth Is' by Kristine Sa which has music score that's from Final Fantasy X-2 called 'Eternity.' It's very pretty. Please review.
