She Wishes She Were Dreaming

Afraid to show her pain,
She hides behind her act.
Afraid to find her fate,
She goes back to him for tact.
Knowing he loves another,
She sheds her tears in silence.
Knowing how hard she tries,
She never reveals, but simply cheers.
As one on the sidelines,
She learns to prepare.
As the weakest of the group,
She is also the strongest.
Wanting his love,
She simply watches.
Wanting to love,
She simply cries.
Hiding from her true fate,
She hides behind his strength.
Hiding from her cruel destiny,
She wishes she were dreaming...
...So she could run away...
