I took in a deep breath and let it out, a few seconds later did it again, my feet beat the pavement in a perpetual cadence, my mind was blank for the first time in weeks, and I felt free of all burdens. It was incredibly mild for being so late in the fall, the sun gleamed down on the park I smiled to se the kids playing on the big top and swings, a few sliding down the slide laughing and running around. I hadn't felt the over whelming presence that meant I was being watched by him, A dark sinister man who felt it was his duty to stalk me and make my life a living nightmare. I heard foot steps behind me and tensed slowing and moving over, a guy no taller then me passed by flashing me a nod and a smile, I stopped gasping for breath, it hadn't been him, it was just a fellow jogger, a good looking fellow jogger. That's when I felt it, he was watching me again I looked around cautiously but saw nothing, I shrugged and continued to jog I only made it a few feet before something barreled into me knocking me into a stand of tree's and out of sight of any help.

"Hello Ava, I thought I made it very clear to you, you belong to me." He voice growled in my ear I squirmed in his arms twisting and kicking, finally I screamed loudly.

"Get the hell away form you creep!" I I flung my elbow back hard, grinning when he let out a oaf of air, his grip loosened and I squirmed free and bolted. My feet smacked the pavement my breathing was now labored, my lungs burned and my muscle's ached for rest, but I kept going until some one come into view, the handsome jogger that had startled me I fell into step with me and tried to slow my breathing, he looked over at me and cocked his head.

"Everything okay?" He asked his Texan accent thick, his brown eyes took in my face and his eyes turned worried to tired to slow but I grabbed his arm and shook my head.

"Please play along I'll explain as we jog." He nodded and we continued down the path.

"There's this guy I was dating a few months back, and when I broke it off with him I thought he was gone I hadn't heard form him since that day, but now he's sending my email, calling at all hours, and stalking me, I thought he was stopping when I hadn't seen him in a couple of days but he's here and was chasing me." I explained quickly he remained silent his eyes averted to the front.

"So is he still chasing you?" He asked his voice soft and his eyes roaming back and forth. I dared a glance back and nodded.

"Yeah a few feet behind us, I'm sorry to get you caught up in this I thought if he saw me with some one he'd go away. Wrong choice apparently." I apologized, he smiled warmly.

"nah don't worry about you did the right thing letting some one know you were in trouble." he turned his eyes back forward and I waited.

"You drive here?" He asked, I nodded.

"Good cause I didn't, I live only a few blocks from here, I'm thinking maybe we can lose him in your car but we have to get there first." He explained.

"Parking lot is that way" I said jerking my thumb back the other way, I saw him roll his eyes and frown.

"Well, we'll have to double back then, we can get lost in the tree's and then turn back." He explained at my questioning look, he veered off and followed and we soon become surrounded by tree's, he kept up a steady ace me right next to him once we had gone passed the meathead, he veered back onto the path and we made bee line for the parking lot just a mile or so ahead. When he made a threw him the keys he only wasted a second to look at me surprised, and then got in I piled in next to him, he was back out of the space when Brian came racing around the into the lot. I flashed him a grin as we pulled away.
