"Boo!"

"Ahhh. Colonel you scared me."

"I can see that." Jack said standing in the door way out of uniform. It was approaching 11:00 and everyone was off for Christmas.

"Is there anything you need sir?"

"Ya, I was Christmas Eve/Christmas Party. Wanted to know if you wanna come."

"Sure who's going?"

"Lets see SG-1, Janet, Cassie, your dad, and Hammond."

"Count me in."

"Good, see you at my place at 1600 Christmas Eve."

"I'll be there."

Sam was all alone now. It was now 11:15 and it was time for here to go home. Tomorrow was Christmas Eve and she had to get everyone a present - like every year. On the other side of town, Jack was now picking out the perfect present for Sam. 'God she will look so beautiful with this. Jack stop it! She's your 2IC!' Jack thought as he paid for the present.

In the living room of Jack's house, a huge popcorn fight was going on. Even the General was having a little fun.

"Okay, I gotta stop, I'm out of breath." Jack said plopping down on the couch.

"Me too." Sam said sitting down beside him.

"Come on Uncle Jack your not old so get up!" Cassie said and jumped on his lap.

"Ya Jack she wants you to play." Sam said as she grabbed Cassie and started to tickle her. In the background, Jacob watched the scene unfold. 'Your worried Jacob.'

'Why wouldn't I be? My daughter just called Jack 'Jack''

'Why is that a problem?'

'You wouldn't understand.'

'Whatever you say.'

"Sam stop it! Stop it!" Cassie said in the middle of laughs.

"Say it! Say it!"

Uncle. UNCLE!" Sam stopped tickling her but Cassie wouldn't stop laughing. Even Sam was smiling. 'Wow, Sam hasn't smiled in months.' Jack thought.

"O'Neill, why did Cassie yell 'Uncle'?" Teal'c asked and everyone burst into laughter.

About an hour later, everyone left except Sam who insisted helping on cleaning.

"Carter you didn't have to do this." Jack said as he put the dishes away.

"I know I just wanted to help. I better get going before the storm gets worse."

Jack looked outside to discover that a snowstorm had decided to come. He didn't want Sam to go out there so he thought of a plan.

"Carter, how about you stay here. The storms really bad."

"Thank you sir."

"NOOOOOO!"

Jack woke with a start. He had heard someone scream. He looked at the clock, 2:30am. He walked out of his room and heard someone talking.

"Get away! Get away from me!" It was coming from the guest room. Where Sam was staying. Jack grabbed a bat and ran to the guest room. When he opened the door, no one was in there except Sam. 'She must be having a nightmare.'

"Sam wake up. Sam wake up," Jack whispered as he easily shook her. Her head bolted up fast, almost hitting him. She was drenched in sweat.

"Sam it was only a nightmare calm down."

"Jack your alive!" She said a hugged him tightly. He heard sobs so he knew that she was crying.

"Sam will you tell me what happened." He felt a nod. She look up and started to tell him about her nightmare.

"You were shot by Maybourne… and then he..he..tried to rape me."

"Oh Sam." Jack said and hugged her closely. "No ones going to hurt you. For a reply he got a yawn. He chuckled slightly and when he looked down she was asleep. He placed a kiss on her forehead and laid her down. When he started to move away, he felt someone stop him.

"Stay."

"Are you sure."

"Yes." He got under the covers behind her and she snuggled up to him. As soon as he got comfortable, he heard soft sobs.

"Shhhh… it's going to be alright." he said and kissed her on the head. Soon he was fast asleep.
