Silent Night

ok, If any of you know what the Mannheim Steamroller is, then you would know their song version to "Silent Night". The music ismoving and really dynamic! By listening to it, the music got me in such a good mood, thatI decided to write a little story about it. Ok, i know that it may be a bit early for all the christmas stuff, but i LOVE christmas...so...hope you enjoy!

It was Harrys first Christmas. He was almost 7 months old, and just starting to grasph the concept of Christmas. He knew that when his parents put up the brightly colored lights, and the lightly scented evergreen, that it was something special. The house around him was full of warmth and love. Candles were lite and gave off a faint glow of yellow that danced in the wind.

On the Eve of Christmas, Lily went into Harrys room and ever so gently picked up her son. Harry made no fuse, but was glad to be in the safe arms of his mother. Quietly, Lily carried Harry downstairs and sat down in the wicker rocking chair that was positioned right infront of the Christmas Tree. She rocked her son back and forth, while singing:

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Harry's gaze was kept completely on the golden yellow Angel on top of the tree. As if almost in a trance, the angel seemed to move, almost calling to Harry. He raised his hands and arms way above his head, trying to grab the figure. Lily only laughed and continued to sing.

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born

Lily looked into those green eyes of her son. The sides of her eyes started to water, as she looked into those eyes. Harry looked up at her in courisusness. He didnt know what was wrong. Usually crying ment that something was wrong. He gave her a look, an all-knowing look, as if using body and facial language to ask what was wrong.

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth

Lilly and Harry fell asleep in eachothers arms. Outside, a light snow was beginning to lay a soft blanket over the earth.
