A Yuu Yuu Hakusho drabble inspired by the storm that raged outside my window.

Storms are beautiful. Dangerous, deadly even, but still very beautiful, much like some people are. One of those beautiful, deadly people is outside now, dancing in the pounding rain and silver lightning, dancing with a monster. A thundering boom shatters the rain soaked night, lightning shining for a precious few seconds on red hair, bloody clothes, and hard emerald eyes.

Dancing with him, avoiding strikes of electricity and attacks with perfect harmony, is a shadow with lightning of his own. Lightning that doesn't suffer fools or threats easily.

The monster they are dancing around growls, and then turns all of its attacks on the closer of the two fighters, tangling a clawed hand in soaked hair, pulling the dancer off balance. A cry harsh with pain is swallowed by another piercing strike of lightning even as the shadow realizes that his partner is not in time with him.

A dangerous mistake for the fool who dared to destroy the harmony of the dance. The dance will be over soon for one of the participants; and it won't be the shadow's red partner to end the dance.

Too soon, even as the last flickers of lightning disappear from the sky, and the two dancers are leaving the battlefield, victorious.

Okay, that was short. But so was the storm. In fact, I think it's over now. Oh well. R&R, please! Well, now it's more like R, but whatever….
