Chapter 1 What do you do when you can't go outside?

Rin walked down the halls of the Western Palace. She was bored and wanted to go outside but Sesshoumaru wouldn't let her. He didn't want her to get sick, it was snowing outside. So she was walking down the halls trying to find something to do. Rin didn't want to start studying just yet. So she went back to her room grabbed a ball and started to kick it around her room.

"Rin is bored. Sesshoumaru sama won't let Rin outside."

Sighing Rin walked head down into the library. She couldn't stall her schooling any longer without up setting her lord. He always told her that a proper lady knew history and how to read and write. But Rin thought it was more fun to be outside. She could play in the snow. Rin would be able to have a snowball fight with Jaken. Rin laughed at picturing Jaken's face red from a snowball. She heard Jaken's voice coming from the other side of the library.

"Rin must work to make Sesshoumaru sama happy." Rin decided to ignore the little imp. Even though it was hard to concentrate.

'Sesshoumaru sama believes everything Rin says. Jaken is always mean to Rin.' Rin thought while coming up with an idea.

Being as quiet as possible Rin tiptoed over to where Jaken was. She took Jaken's inkbottle and placed some of her hair in it.

'Three…two…one.' Rin thought. "Sesshoumaru sama!"

Sesshoumaru's heart skipped a beat when he heard Rin scream. He ran into the library hoping that Rin was ok. He found Rin on the floor crying. Ink was dripping off her hair. Sesshoumaru sighed, nothing had attacked Rin.

"What happened Rin?" Sesshoumaru asked.

"Rin was studying when master Jaken poured ink in Rin's hair." Rin lied.

Sesshoumaru picked Rin up and took her to the bath hut so she could clean up. But before he left the library he turned his head to face Jaken

"Leave Rin alone."

Sesshoumaru walked away while carrying Rin. Jaken's jaw dropped. He hadn't done anything to Rin. Rin stuck her tongue out at him. That was fun. Sesshoumaru sama believed Rin, she had lied and he had bought it. Rin couldn't wait to find out what else she could do to Jaken.

Rin sat in the bathtub washing the ink that 'Jaken' had put in her hair. She didn't have to study. Sesshoumaru sama had told her she could do what she wanted. He didn't want her near Jaken in case he would annoy her again. If Rin was annoyed she would tell Sesshoumaru sama, Sesshoumaru sama had work to do to. It would interrupt him.

"What else can Rin do and get Jaken in trouble for?" Rin asked her self. She came up with a number of ideas and all of them would work.

Rin walked back to her room after the bath. She got out some ink and paper then drew out her plan. If she played her cards out right, all evidence would point to Jaken. Rin got out a huge ball of red string, a doll that Sesshoumaru sama gave her and a bowl from under her bed that needed to be cleaned. Rin went to the kitchen and put the bowl in a table. Then she took her doll and thestring into the hall. She tied string around the doll's waist. she took the other end of the string and tied it to the door. Then she waited for Jaken to come. She didn't have to wait long. Jaken was just around the corner. as soon as he came into view thats when shemade her plan fall into action.

"Sesshoumaru sama!"

Sesshoumaru was down there in a matter of minutes.

"Master Jaken was mean to Rin! He stole my dollthen tied it to the ceiling!" Sure enough the doll was hanging down out of Rin's reach.

"My lord! I did no such thing! I was going into the kitchen t order the servents to start cooking lunch! Rin was here before me!" Jaken spoke in his deffence.

"Jaken! Leave Rin alone or your head will be the one hanging." Sesshoumaru ordered. He untied the doll and handed it toRin who hugged it.

Rin smiled as Sesshoumaru picked her up. She had him wrapped around her finger.
