Ha! Like I own em! Jeeze, What loony-bin did you escape from?
He was crying again.
Raven slipped out of her room, quieter than the shadows she became. She could feel him, restless and caught in the torments of his own mind. He was in her room again, the landscape mural stark without someone living to fill it. The stars that twinkled on the ceiling were cold and distant. Still, he would come here when he couldn't sleep. Would sneak into the only room in the tower that still held her sent, the only place he could believe she would come back. He would bury his head in her pillows, whimpering at the back of his throat. He had nightmares everytime he slept here, her memory wrapping itself inside his mind. At least it was sleep.
--Hazy Dream world--
She was taunting them. Slamming rocks against them, blinding them with mud. She laughed as they were battered. Robin sped toward her. Bird-a-rangs did nothing, his fist, his kicks, everything was deflected. Cyborg was draining himself pounding her with blast after blast. Starfire hurled starbolts, eyebolts, charged at her with Tameranian cries of betrayal and battle. Raven flew at her, the dark soul-self enveloping them both. Terra sidestepped it all. She crowed at their ineffectual fury. She smiled at Beast Boy.
"See what you are a part of? They can do no good. You can do no good. I've moved on Beast Boy. Come with me. You can be my pet..."
--Real world , Titian Tower--
Raven slipped into Terra's room. Beast Boy lay in a tangle of sheets, his arms thrashing and that soft moan of pain hidden inside his throat. Raven began to chant, soft and low, her hands glowing. Just a breath of contact, she smoothed his hair, running her hands across his forehead, nudging his mind into a kinder dream...
--Dream world--
Terra grew taller, stronger, her voice ringing louder. Beast Boy began to tremble. How could she? How could he not have known? Yet as Beast Boy looked he began to see more of Terra, began to look beyond her. Now, as it is in dreams, Terra was a wooden puppet, her arms and legs jerking along at the will of Slade. Slade was the bogyman in this dream and Beast Boy's mind knew how to Take Care of him.
"Titans Go!"
The battle was grand and glorious. Everyone attacked in unison and Slade had no defenses. Beast Boy was a hero, saving Robin and Cyborg from falling boulders, catching Starfire when she fell, dazed, from the sky. Then he, Beast Boy, was attacking Slade, clawing at him. Slade fell. Beast Boy snapped the strings he had held and lifted Terra into his arms. She smiled at him, her eyes filled with regret and Beast boy could feel the team gather around them, ready to forgive. Even Raven was smiling...
--Real World--
Raven let her hand linger in his hair a few moments longer than necessary. His movements had settled and Raven was satisfied she had shifted the dream for the better. He was warm beneath her, his hair soft. She ruffled it gently than began arranging his limbs and the covers in patters more conducive to rest. Soft snoring, more similar to a purr than anything, came from the lump of blankets. Raven glided out of the room making as little sound as she had when she entered.
So? What did ya think? Worth following up on? This is just randomness but if anyone is interested hearing more I could be persuaded. You know what that means! Pretty Button! Press it! Type! Send! Or all will be lost! (or maybe just my self esteem)
