He felt cold even though he and Hanson were sitting by the flames of the barrel fire and in the city of El Triunfo, El Salvador. He felt cold as the only thing in his field of vision was the shine of the metallic band he held between his thumb and index finger.
For a split second he could see her in the ring with his tear glossed eyes. "Two days..." he barely said above a whisper. He couldn't accept how close he came to saving her. Withing five days he had won and lost the one he truly loved.
