Salad

My family and I are eating dinner, I was just finishing my salad and my sister was finishing up her rice and chicken when my mom told her, "If you want seconds, you need to finish your salad like nick". I look around, I see the glass table and see our steel front door and the 4 windows in our house. Shortly after, a blond man bursts though our wooden front door whipping out his handgun checking for any hostiles, luckily we weren't hostile.
Giving a signal, a beautiful blond girl in a green skirt and a tan sweater comes in. After the girl comes in the man closes our door and locks it. He then asks us if we live here, we said yes. He tells us that his name is Leon and the girl that he is protecting's name is Ashley. Leon then says that a bunch of Zombies are coming this way and we need to protect ourselves. Just then our only window breaks open and 2 zombies crawl out of the windows. I then tell mom and Ashley to go upstairs and take cover, they do. My sister out of nowhere draws a sub-machine gun and I draw an sk-47 and Leon takes out his 12-gague shotgun.
Leon and I take out the zombies the crawled out the windows while (next page) my sister pushes a giant cabinet behind the door, so the zombies don't break through the door… for now. Suddenly I hear my name, but no one said it. While I pondered where it came from, my sister and Leon holds off the Zombies till my sister runs out of ammo, she then draws a magnum. After a few more minutes I ran out of all of my Ak-47 rifle ammo. I then remembered what a zombie's greatest weakness is. The door bursts open and more zombies appeared. "Salad please" I herd someone say, again I couldn't tell where. The zombies that broke down the door soon met Leon's shotgun, these invading zombies were blasted back, and then I made my move.
I grabbed the salad bowl from our wooden table and ran outside where thousands of zombies are and I threw the bowl with the salad in it high into the air. The lettuce went flying in the air but never came down. The salad bursted into tiny rays of light and each ray pierced all of the zombies, killing them all. We were all saved thanks to my quick thinking. My family, Leon, and Ashley run outside to thank me. Their praises were great, and Ashley even asked me out on a date. I closed my eyes in thought and just as I was going to say yes, I herd my sister's voice call my name loudly.
I opened my eyes; my almost-finished salad was in front of me on my glass table. My sister, sitting to my left said "Pass me the salad before you go into la-la land again ok?". I passed her the salad and she put it on her plate. I then started thinking again, just as she asked, "Can you pass me the ranch dressing please?". But right after she asked that, three ninjas jumped out of our windows and all three landed in front of me. Ready for battle I drew my sword and we charged at each other, prepared to engage the other…

This is a short story that I made up when I got the school assignment to write a quick story about a few people who crash a dinner with friends and/or family. We could use anyone so, I choose to use Leon and Ashley spoofing off the chapter 2-2 scene with the cabin attack. Remember this was for school and I had to read it out loud in class, so I could only make this PG rated and I that's also why I decided to use Zombies instead of "the Livestock" (that's what it translates to). Last, I got a good grade for this, an A.
