"All we do lately is fight Nikolas!" Courtney screamed as she became increasingly upset. They had fought so many times this week that she couldn't even remember exactly what this fight was even about. "Then why have you been pushing me away!" "Like you haven't pushed me away for Emily!" as the fight ensued the words got more and more hurtful but never had Courtney expected to say the words that were just about to come from her mouth. "Maybe just maybe we don't love each other...maybe this was a way for us to get over Jax and Emily." the pain on Nikolas face was evident more so then ever now. Courtney covered her mouth instantly. She hadn't meant for those words to come from her mouth ever. She did love Nikolas but now she had hurt the one person who would go to the end of this world for her, stay there if she asked, and now she could do nothing about it.

"Nikolas I didn't mean that...I..." she tried to get closer but he wouldn't let her. "How could you question my feelings for you Courtney? You know I love you but I'm beginning to wonder if you ever really cared." Nikolas stated. Tears welled up as she ran out of Wyndemere and to the docks. She had cried more and more recently even over the smallest things. She didn't know what caused the nausea or the tears or the mood swings...but right now she didn't care. She sat on the docks as tears fell continuosly. She didn't expect the man she hated most in Port Charles to come across the docks as well. Lorenzo was evidently upset. Courtney could see how tense he was and the hurt and anger in his eyes. He turned over the bench not realizing he had an audience. "What did I do that was so wrong!" he said as he looked up at the sky. "Did I not make her happy?"

"Depends on who and what you're talking about..." Courtney answered as he turned around. "Well...I wasn't aware I had an audience Miss Matthews.""Didn't mean to be the audience...I thought I was alone." she answered bluntly. "Seems like your night is going as well as mine." he sarcastically stated. "Oh yeah my night is absolutely dandy." she said in the same sarcastic state. She hadn't noticed that they had had so much in common. Hurt, pain, alot. He looked into her eyes for the first time. The once light happy filled eyes were now replaced with a deep blue "Need you" eyes. She noticed that his eyes were a warm brown, much like Nikolas', atleast how they were before everything started going down hill. "Courtney?" "I've never noticed how warm your eyes were..." "Maybe because you never took the time...which if the roles were reversed neither would I..." "Yeah, Well, I've began to see that everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect...including me." She smiled at him. "Really?" he asked not realizing they were now sitting directly by each other. "Really..." she replied softly.

Before she had even realized it they kissed each other.

4 Weeks Later

"Oh my..Oh my my my my..." She paced as she looked down at the test nervously. The results surprised her but at the same time scared her to death. She couldn't call Carly for support there was a chance that her own husband, although soon to be ex husband, was the father. She walked into the living room and sat down in pure shock. Nikolas walked in and ever since the angry argument 4 weeks ago they had been fairly distant. A quick "Hi" was said but that about summed it up between the two of them so she was scared to tell him. Instead she called the only person she could think of. "We need to talk...meet me at the docks in an hour...it's really important..." She hung up and got dressed as she frantically searched for the right words. She made it there and faced the butterflies that were in her Stomach as the words..."I'm expecting a baby." words she never thought she'd say came from her mouth
