A/N: I've been seriously obsessed with Naruto lately. It's actually quite pathetic, I can't even bring myself to read updates to my fave Harry Potter fics because my brain keeps screaming for Naruto and ramen and some more Naruto. I finally gave in and started writing some Naruto drabbles. They've just been sitting in my notebook for a while now, waiting patiently for me to get off my lazy ass (or on possibly, since I have to sit in the computer quite comfortably for a bit to type them) and post them.

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto. But you have no idea how much I wished I owned Gaara. OMG, teh sexy beast. -drool-

Eclipse

A SasuNaru Drabble

By Phaerie

Sasuke reminds me of the moon - pale, ethereal surface surrounded by an infinitly dark mass that is constantly closing in until he pushes the darkness away. He says I remind him of the sun. Looking in a mirror, I can see what he means - bright blonde hair, loud clothes, cheery facade. It's such a drastic contrast to his raven hair and stoic nature. Like night and day.

But we really aren't all that different. We're both suffering, struggling to push the approaching darkness away. No one can believe that though - "Oh Naruto, you're always so cheerful, always smiling." The people that say that though, they're blind. Ninjas are supposed to be able to see underneath the underneath, ne? Or maybe I'm just a really good actor.

Sasuke sees past the facade though; past the bright exterior. He says I'm an eclipsed sun, on the inside I'm caught in the darkness but rays of sunshine surround me.

"Then I'm a solar eclipse, not the sun."

Sitting on a rooftop, under the full moon and twinkling stars, he wraps his arms around me and whispers in my ear; his warm breath tickles the back of my neck.

"The sun is still the sun, even if the moon blocks it from view."

Sasuke is the moon and I'm the sun, more than happy to be eclipsed by him.

A/N: oO Yes, well. I had to change that a bit. It was originally called Lunar Eclipse, but then I found out that that wasn't the eclipse I was thinking of. I think that was a pretty good drabble. What do YOU think? Hmm? Tell me in a review! I will be eternally grateful!
