Chapter I : The Begining

On a snowy December night, Skyler Trice was outside on the porch with his girlfriend, Trinity. His arm was wrapped around her shoulder as she was leaning on him. "Skyler, do u love me?" Trinity said as she gazed into his hazel eyes.

"I love you as much as I love your Native American family who shot arrows at me." Skyler said. "That's a true sign of love."

"You didn't have to say that just because I'm fromthe 2005 culture and they are from 1493." Trinity said. "Besides, it's not that my family don't like you."

"They tried to kill me but they like me." Skyler said. "That sounds a lot like true love to me."

Trinity shook her head and put her head back on the shoulder. The next morning, Skyler was sleeping in his bed when his cell phone. He turned over to his nightstand and accepted the call. "Hello?" he said still sleep.

"The Master Chief wants your to come to his mansion." the female said on the phone.

"Who is this?" Skyler said.

"Don't worry about who I am." the female said. "You'll find out later."

And at that, she hung up the phone. Skyler got out of the bed and threw some clothes on. After that, he went downstairs and ate some cereal. After he put the cereal away, he grabbed his keys and left the house. As he was walking down the street, people started to bow down to him saying stuff in Japanese. "What the hell?"

When he reached the mansion, he rang the door bell. Trinity awnsered the door. "Yep, the Master Chief want you and I for some odd reason." she said as she opened the door. Skyler followed her into the master room where at the far end the master chief stood. They stoped five feet from him and kneeled.

"Skyler, I request a favor of you." Master Chief said.

Skyler looked at him. He wore all green armor except for the black visor that covered his eyes.

"I need you, Trinity, and two other people to go and gater the 12 Dream Gems and bring them back here." Master Chief said as two people came through the doors.

One of them was a black hedgehog with red spikes that was holding two uzis in both hands. The other was a girl was wearing a white hat, white and green tang top, green shorts, green socks, and white shoes. The girl was holding two half-moon knifes in each hand.

"This is Talim and Shadow." Master Chief said. "They will be accompaning the two of you as bodyguards." He picked up a bag and tossed it to Skyler.

"This should be enough to prepare yourself for the trip." Master Chief said. "Now go!"

The four of them left the room together. Four hours later they was ready to go. They at the gate of the town of Legdia. Trinity's parents walked up to them. "Now you be careful now, you hear?" He mom said as she turned to Skyler. "And if something happens to my daughter, I'll make sure you roast apon a open flame!"

The Master Chief then walked up and said, "We all wish you best of luck on this dangerous mission."

Shadow, Talim, Trinity, and Skyler walked out of the town in to the open field in the country of Askadia.

A ninja appeared next to Master Chief as the four walked away. "Hayate, I want you to keep a very close eye on them and make sure they don't find out the truth of the Dream Gems."

"I'll make sure with my life!" Hayate said as he vanished
