AN: So, I don't know if this can be called an official prequel to 'Someone who Cares' but it is for now. For now, this is just a drabble-ish prequel. Am I even spelling prequel right? o.o;; So, anywho. Not official completely, but for now it will just have to satisfy you. ANd by the way, I know it's not my best T-T It was done in five minutes and I had no time to be more descriptive!

It wasn't supposed to happen, he wasn't supposed to stay-it wasn't right! He had just punctured his lung, and the damn bastard was still there, leaning over him and he could hardly tell what was going on.
He felt tears tugging at his eyes, and his lips were in a natural frown, he didn't know if he would ever smile again after this. That stab in the chest wasn't just physical.
That demon was still lingering over him, he saw regret in his eyes, but his face remained stoic and impassive. Sasuke was just there, and Naruto didn't know if he was okay with that, if he was even okay with once being the Uchiha's comrade, rival, . . . friend. He felt so betrayed, and he wanted to just give up in those few moments.
Yet, somehow something inclined the Uchiha to do something that was more than odd-but then again, he didn't know that Naruto was still awake, did he? Because he had been to busy surveying the damage he had done to look at his battered face.
Sasuke picked up his own, scratched fallen, headband and placed it in Naruto's hand, and carefully and quietly with that damned aloof look of his took off Naruto's headband, and put it in his weapon's pouch even though he couldn't fully close it because of it.
"Eh, dobe. If you can hear me, if you don't die. I want you to come." He left after that, after ages, and Naruto wanted to yell and shout and pitch a fit.
But he could hardly breathe, and he didn't expect that he would ever be able to, even with the Kyuubi hastily attempting to heal that gaping hole. Oh Gods.
The blonde had no strength left, none that he could muster and call upon to magically bounce back like usual. Before he slipped from consciousness, he remembered this one damned thought.
Yeah, maybe I will sometime.
