The dark sun fell behind the array of emerald and forest green, behind the horizon in Corus. She sat on the beach, sighing with the waves. Her heart beat in sequence with footsteps behind her. She turned swiftly. His dark eyes stared into hers, burning right through her mind and her thoughts. It felt as though he could read her mind. His gaze was curious, maybe a little worried, too. She wanted so bad to turn away, but she couldn't. Something in his eyes caught hers. At last he spoke, and she was thankful.

"What's bothering you, Sarra?" He sat down next to her and she tensed. How would she explain this to her father?

"Daddy, he asked me to marry him..." She looked into his eyes, pleadingly. She needed some answers, and quick. Unlike her mother and father, she had a wandering mind. It took her a while to decide things and, right now, she didn't know what to do.

"Sarra, come here..." He hugged her in a warm embrace. She cried - like she had when she was a child - and she felt like a child again. She sobbed in his arms and he comforted her until she had calmed down. "Do you love him?" He asked her. Sarra felt a little taken aback.

"Huh?" she said, quietly. What was he asking her?

"Do you love him?" He repeated.

"Of course I do... I just... I don't know." She stared out into the sea to avoid his gaze. It was all-knowing, and all-seeing.

"If you love him, go for it. You'll never get the same chance again." She stared at him, now knowing the mistake she made, and having cold feet was all that was wrong with her. She stood up quickly.

"Thank you, daddy..." She grinned foolishly. "I have to be somewhere..." She ran off, down the beach to their house on the seaside. She ran swiftly and like she never ran before. She bolted until she saw the pale figure of the man she loved... the man she adored... the man she was going to marry.

"Thomas..." She called. He was sitting on a rock looking out into the pale, blue sea as she had done. She ran towards him. He stood up and she flung herself at him. He embraced her. "Thomas."

"Yes, my sweet?"

"I will marry you... I will, yes I will!" She cried happy tears and he held her close.

"I will marry you too, beautiful... I love you so much."
