Logan pulled a lock of black hair from her face. She was so beautiful. He kissed her cheek. She stirred, nearly waking but only shifted slightly in his arms. The TV glared images of Kingdom of Heaven. He wrapped his arms around her sleeping body.

Could it really be? He asked himself. Could she really be real? He asked himself. Her breathing lightly there against his chest, as she slept so peacefully, so serene. It was hard to believe she went through the same things he himself had gone through.

She stirred mumbling in her sleep. He held her close kissing her hair. Her soft eyes closed to the world as they rapidly moved beneath her eyelids. I wonder what she's dreaming about? He asked himself stroking her hair with strong fingers. He sighed leaning back on the couch watching the ending to the movie. She raised her arm so that it rested upon his chest, her ear over his beating heart. A wave of some sort of new feeling swept over him as she did so. I think I love her. He thought to himself.

I can't be in love, Can I? True the Canadian had, had his eyes on a certain redhead, but this young girl. She had something special, something Jean could never have. Was it understanding? He couldn't say. All he knew was that he loved her. She stirred once more moving her head to rest upon his shoulders. Logan began to melt.

Aw damn! Just look at me! A mushy heart liberal! When did this all happen? He smiled kissing her cheek running his fingers through her hair.

"Logan?"

Logan looked over his shoulder. Jean was standing in the walkway that led into the room with the large screen TV where he and her were watching Kingdom of Heaven.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"What are you doing?" She mentioned her sleeping against his chest. Logan chuckled.

"Wake up kitten." He nudged her. She stirred awake moaning.

"Wha? What's going o- oh, did I fall asleep?" She asked yawning resting her head on his chest. She heard the low rumble of his chuckle.

"Yeah, love ya did, anyways I think Jean's jealous, ya know? Bout you an' I watchin' movies here on this couch an' you fallen asleep on my shoulder." He kissed her cheek still laughing. She sat up and looked over the back of the couch.

"How long have I been asleep?"

"Since the first thirty minutes." He answered her. She kissed his cheeks.

"Good lord. I need to get to bed." She stood up yawning. "Night." She said turning to leave. Logan grabbed her hand. "Yeah?" She asked. Logan pulled her back on the couch and kissed her firmly. She pulled away. "Bit late for that." She smiled. "See you in the morning, night Logan." She said and got up to face Jean.

Logan watched her leave before getting up to turn off the DVD. She was beautiful. He knew it. He did love her. And how could she just brush off his feelings so casually like that? He grinned to himself. Yeah. She is awesome. He allowed himself a thought of the two entangled in white sheets. Guess I do love her. He got up from the couch stretching. He made his way to the walkway.

"What, were you two doing?" She snapped to him. Logan looked to his watch it was late and he wanted to go to bed.

"I rented a few movies and asked if she wanted to watch 'em with me, s'all." He answered her.

"Why?" She asked her voice trailing off. Logan shrugged.

"Guess it's 'cause I love her." He said and with that he turned to the stairs walking up them to his cold bed, waiting and dreaming of the night when her body would warm them with his.
