Summary: This is a little look at what Legolas might think if he were dead and looking at the aftereffect after he died. Bring tissues it might be a little tear jerking I don't know

It's been so long since I've felt anything for a while. I watch my friends, they look terrible. Aragorn looks as if he hasn't slept in days. Theoden looks as if Valar came and took away his child and his reasons to live. The dwindling numbers of Elves and Men are heartbreaking after the battle of Helm's Deep. I call Aragorn's name but he seems not to hear. Estel…why don't you turn to me when I call your name? Estel..what is wrong my friend?

Aragorn goes up to Gimli who seems to have seen better days. His armor is covered in blood, mostly Orc. His eyes were glowing with the aftereffects of the battle. But when he saw Aragorn coming, his face dropped. Aragorn spoke something but I couldn't understand. His lips moved by my ears couldn't hear. It must've been something terrible for it made Gimli's eyes well up with tears that would fall to tangle in his beard. This gauntleted fists pounded into Aragorn's stomach but the Man didn't seem to care. He took blow after blow until the Dwarf collapsed into him arms. Both went to their knees letting unshed tears of disbelief course down their faces, washing away the blood.

My friends why do you cry? What has happened to make you this way? In my head I can hear the questions, I feel my lips form the words but they do not come. I try to comfort my friends, placing my arms around them…but it's no use. My arms went through them. And I remembered.

During the Battle, we were losing, falling back to the Keep to regroup and plan a better attack. But I saw Haldir falter. I ran to his side and blocked a blow that would've surely ended his immortal life. An enraged cry escaped my lips as I cut down the Ura-kai with my blades. Before the others came I told Haldir to leave without me. To get to the keep. But it was for naught. Haldir was dead, a bolt to his back. Fury ran through my veins as I fought, avenging my friend's death. I could hear Aragorn call my name, begging me to come back to the Keep, I could only nod in reply and keep fighting my way. I turned to see Aragorn fighting his way backwards, calling to everyone, Gimli was being dragged by two Elves. I jumped down from the wall and started to run until I felt a pain in my back. I stood shocked as I felt the tip of a bolt protruding through my chest. I felt the slice of a blade tearing through my skin, everything grew dim…the sounds, the sights, until I saw Aragorn falter as he looked back, running to grab me, and drag me back. But it was all for naught. I was dead. My eyes forever dulled.

I look now over my funeral. My grave stone a simple slab of stone.

Here lies

A warrior

A friend

A Brother

Legolas Greenleaf

And I remember it all. But I must go my friends. I wish I did not leave you in such grief. I will embrace you all one last time. For it will be the last. And now I leave to the halls were my forefathers have gone. Reunited with my mother. Mandos is calling. Good bye.
