Hello, people! This is a fanfic about how to make a humor challenge. Now, before you read on, I have to tell you something: This fanfic may not be suitable for young children, old people, pregnant people, or people with heart disease as this fanfic will (I hope) make you laugh for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and... DAYS! So here it is: How to make a humor challenge.
CHAPTER ONE:
Characters
In order to right a humor challenge, you need characters. Every humor fanfic has at least the following four characters. If you ever see a humor challenge without these four characters, tell them that they suck and show them this story. (A/N: Not really, my preciousss, we don't want them to get angry with me do we, my preciousss?) The four characters are:
Harry Potter
Hermione Granger
Ronald Weasley
A Random Vegetable
Yes, the four characters you need are the Trio and a random vegetable. Make sure that the vegetable is not a fruit. I mean, come on fruits? Fruits are lame. "Look at me! I'm a freak with a fruit!" Is that the message you want to send people? I didn't think so.
Although you may not use a fruit as a character, you may use it as a background object such as a bowl of fruit or someone eating a fruit. Your fruit cannot have any importance to the story. Oh, did I mention that your random vegetable must have some significance? For a good example of this, read trevorthetoad's Harry Potter and the Randomness that Follows.
Okay, next step, choosing other characters. Besides having the four main characters(If you don't remember who they are, you're an idiot), you need at least three more characters. To choose these characters, make a list of about 10 Harry Potter characters. Here's an example list:
Voldemort
Draco Malfoy
Albus Dumbledore
Colin AND Dennis Creevey
Severus Snape
Ginny Weasley
Luna Lovegood
Rita Skeeter
Sirius Black
Aberforth Dumbledore
Once you have these characters, you need to add one more thing to the list: OC. Your list should now look like this(I'll explain what an OC is later):
Voldemort
Draco Malfoy
Albus Dumbledore
Colin AND Dennis Creevey
Severus Snape
Ginny Weasley
Luna Lovegood
Rita Skeeter
Sirius Black
Aberforth Dumbledore
OC
(Yes, I did repeat the list to make this fic look longer) Now, what is an OC? OC stands for Original Character. An original character is a character whom the author of the fanfic made up. For an example of this, read Fearles Phoenix's Harry Potter and the Green Torch Prince of Storage.
Okay, now you have this huge list of characters and are probably thinking: How the hell am I going to fit all these characters into a fanfic? Well, you don't have to! You only have to include three. How do you choose which three? It's easy! Just take a pencil, close your eyes, and randomly pick three names. For example, I'll do it. Here are my results: Voldemort, Albus Dumbledore, and Rita Skeeter.
I MUST include these names in my fanfic. Did I mention that at the end I was going to write a one-shot following everything I've written here? Okay, anyway... these characters must have prominent roles in the fic.
So... I'm bored writing about characters so I'm done with this chapter. Next chapter: PLOT! (Or something like it).
