Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house
Everybody was stirring in Cloud's little house.
The stockings were hung, everybody's were there.
Except for Nanaki, who just didn't care.
Vincent and Cid kept a corner themselves,
One standing, the other asleep under shelves.
Tifa was busy with special eggnog,
But Cloud was just moping, like a bump on a log.
For Aeris was chattering on without end.
She'd got Cloud alone, wishing God would just send
Someone, anyone to make her shut up.
But it seemed that he just was plain out of luck.
Cait Sith was missing from this little room,
And no one had noticed outside in the gloom
Nanaki and Tifa, away from the glow
Of the house, built a man with cat ears in the snow.
Yuffie and Barret were drunk on the floor
When all of a sudden came a knock at the door.
They both jumped right up, and with red bleary eyes.
"It's Santa! Hooray, let him in!" they both cried.
They leapt for the door, but Cloud got it first.
Of all here he knew that he had it the worst.
And any good reason to leave from his chair
Was enough to spring him up into the air.
But who at the door when opened was found
But a man in a coat that hung down to the ground.
He stood dark and tall and he said not a word,
And there at his side was a nine-foot long sword.
He drew it in silence, more quick than a blink
And he rushed in the room before any could think.
And suddenly Aeris was dead on the floor
And Sephiroth wiped his blade clean of the gore.
He left just as sudden, and everyone stared.
Well, all except Vincent, who only can glare.
And Cloud breathed in wonder, and his spirits did lift.
Forever this would be the best Christmas gift.
Barret and Yuffie, in a strange drunken pose,
Sat staring long after the door had been closed,
And Yuffie, who'd drank somewhat less, with a pause,
Slurred out, "Are you sure that was not Santa Claus?"
