Prologue

The empire is falling. I, Lord Belef of Vansa, have used all my power as a leader to save my country. But it is not enough to keep the outsiders at bay. For many months now, talk between the leaders of Eaikan and Lorthen has become more frequent. They are plotting Vansa's end.

My great country is now on the verge of a losing battle. I have brought many of my people to the center of the country, away from the bordering lands that have caused this great threat. Yet it is not enough.

They send spies into my palace, and cause fear in the towns and out ports, send threats of ambushes and attacks on our cities, with letters of assassinations to myself or those in my family.

So, I have made a choice, one that no leader should ever force upon his people, to fight back and start a war. The battles will be bloody and many will perish, but it is a risk I am willing to take.

I have turned to the many races in the country, have issued that they all choose the greatest warrior of their clans, and send them to my palace to receive further orders to possibly save our country. Out of the seven races, elves, hobbits, vampires, fairies, the witches, humans, and those of incomparable power, will be sent the greatest warriors in Vansa. They alone will stop a war that I could never win…
