"Gus Nurse Sandy will see you now" A receptionists voice echoed through the silent room of the hospital. Gus trembled slightly as he got up off his seat he walked slowly scuffing his feet across the floor he reaches the room where he need to be he takes a deep breath before entering "Hi Gus, please take a seat" the nurse said politely pointing at the chair at the opposite side of her desk. Gus walks over to the chair and sits down "Gus we have the result to your aids test and… its positive" The Nurse said with a sorry sound to her voice Gus stares down at the floor he cant believe his life was going to end so soon he was only 21! "I'm so sorry" the nurse said "thanks for telling me but I think I should go now" Gus said standing up and walking out of the nurses office.
Back at home Gus stands in front of his mirror practising his speech to his friends and family "Mum, dad I'm dying!…. No maybe I shouldn't go to the point" Gus kept talking like this until the ringing of his phone distracts him "Hello?" Gus said picking up the receiver "It's a girl!" an excited voice shouts down the phone "What? Who is this?" Gus aid confused " it's T.J Spinelli went in to labour this morning she's had a baby girl aww Gus you got to come down here she's gorgeous" T.J said still excited "I'm kinder busy at the minute T.J" Gus said "Please Gus you got to come I'll meet you at the entrance" T.J said twisting Gus's arm "ok I'll be half an hour" Gus said placing the receiver down and hanging up on T.J. Gus walks out of his one bed flat and races to his car.
Gus pulls up at the hospital where he sees T.J putting out his tab and waving Gus over "hey Teej I thought you were going to quit smoking?" Gus said as he walked over towards him "I was but nicotine's so addictive" T.J said walking into the hospital with Gus "come on Spinellis on the second floor with little junior.
They both race to the second floor and stop outside Spinellis room She notices them and waves them both in she has the baby in her arms "Hi Spinelli" Gus said walking over to the bed "wheres the other guys?" Gus also questioned "well Vince and Gretchen are on their honeymoon in Egypt and Mikeys out of town so you were the only one who could come we have something special to ask you to" T.J said walking over to Gus "what is it Teej?" Gus said "well me and Spinelli were talking and we would love for you to be our daughters godfather!" T.J said smiling at Gus "T.J I'd love to be the little tikes godfather but I cant!" Gus aid walking over to the window "why not I think you'd be perfect" Spinelli said jumping in "Guys I was hoping to tell yous about this later but I came here before and it turns out I'm dying!" Gus replied wiping a tear from his eye "Your dying? But how?" T.J said now not so excited "I am HIV positive!" Gus said explaining everything "how did you become an HIV carrier?" Spinelli questioned "well there was something I was meaning to tell yous but wasn't sure how you's would've react but I'm gay turns out my ex boyfriend was an HIV carrier!" Gus said ashamed of his admittance "Gus I don't care if your gay you're my friend I just cant believe your dying we've been through everything together" T.J said wiping a tear from his eye.
